In 10 seconds? For many people wanting to shape up, “Keto is King”. Ketogenic diets have become the go-to method for weight loss and metabolic benefits. And, according to recent research, they may help cancer patients as well.

What’s the story? There’s no questioning that your diet directly impacts your health and well-being. And almost half of all cancer patients report changing their diets to improve their chances of survival. But until recently, scientific evidence was not strong enough for doctors to reliably recommend anything other than a generalized healthy diet (Think: high in veggies/whole grains and low in sweets/junk food). Now, with more detailed knowledge about how cancer uses nutrients (AKA cancer metabolism), different dietary approaches, including ketogenic diets, have been increasingly studied for how they may help cancer patients.
